Why Front Doors Fail Faster Than the Rest of Your Exterior
South and west-facing doors are the most vulnerable. In the Cleveland area, afternoon sun on a dark-colored door can push surface temperatures above 160 degrees in summer. That heat causes cheaper paints to bubble and peel within months. We select exterior paints and enamels based on the door material, existing finish condition, and sun exposure.
